GET TO KNOW APRIL:
Summary of Your Family:
I have two daughters, Skylar, 18, and Emily, 16. We are best friends and act more like sisters than mom and daughters.
Dream Vacation:
There is a place in Zadar, Croatia where organ music is played when the waves from the sea crash up onto the marble steps that are along a portion of the shore…I would love to go hear and see that one day.
Regular Order at Starbucks:
Caramel Lattes mostly, but in the fall, I’m unashamedly a PSL girl
Favorite Movies:
You’ve Got Mail, Safe Haven, Ever After, any Rodgers & Hammerstein musical and I’m a huge sucker for old black & white movies like Funny Face, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, To Catch a Thief (1955), High Society (1956)
Things That Fascinate Me:
People’s temperaments and personalities
People I would Like to Meet:
My parents when they were kids and C.S. Lewis
One Thing That most People Don’t Know About Me:
I toured and sang with a group called Praisong during the summer of 1997, singing and doing shows at a different church every night – it was exhausting, but so much fun!
Been in Ministry Since:
I’ve pretty much always felt some call on my life since I can remember. Starting with my first solo at age 5 to teaching Sunday school, to singing and leading multiple worship teams to now as youth pastor.
When And Where Did you Get Saved
1982 – my mom led me to the Lord in our living room while we were stationed at Andrews AFB, Maryland. It really is a beautiful story, ask me about it sometime - I would love to tell you!
Favorite Singer:
I listen to a lot of worship music…BUT I also have very eclectic tastes in music – I listen to a broad range of genres. I really love old 1960s French songs and singers like Edith Piaf and Gillian Hills and there is an opera singer named Joseph Paur – his voice is amazing…but to choose a favorite is just too hard
Life Changing Moments:
Becoming a mother
Fears:
Being trapped in a tightly enclosed space for too long (claustrophobia)
Favorite Book:
I have several…of course the Bible, but I also enjoy reading novels. Some of my favorites are:
Captivating by Stasi Eldredge
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
The Last Sin-Eater by Francine Rivers

Extremely picky with my food

Shop, read, hang with friends and family, watch movies and taking naps!

Josh Duhamel
Favorite Actress:
Kate Hudson

Any kind of seafood
What Makes You Laugh:
A LOT of things!! I enjoy laughter – it’s the best medicine.
Least Favorite Thing to Do:
Folding Laundry…there is a pile of clean clothes on my bed as I say this
Life Motto:
Do everything in love
Favorite Scripture:
Psalm 46:5, “For the Lord is within her, she will not fall.”
Hidden Talent:
I can cry on cue – did you know God saves all our tears in a bottle and has recorded each one in His book? What a caring God we serve.
